A little under 15 months ago, a friend of mine asked me to photograph her. Just a fun shoot between friends. This was not only my first ever shoot of a pretty girl, but my first shoot of a person, period! Even though I knew her for years and there was no real pressure to capture anything amazing, I was nervous AF. I swear I felt I was just going to waste her time and fuck all the images up. And like most things you fear, at the end of the day it wasn’t that bad and a great learning experience. There’s something to be said for just jumping in the deep end and going for it. The results can often times lead to awesome things. Fast forward to Friday, I received my first print publication in a small magazine, Amped Asia. It's like an Asian guys Maxim. Success is made up of small little victories. Getting published is one of those small victories and awesome motivation to keep learning, shooting, and creating. It’s been a fun journey so far and I can’t wait to see what else this photo journey has in store for me. Thank you for following me along this path, it’s really humbling and motivating to know that some of you out there enjoy what I do.
